Simple Storage and Handling

Your medication is shipped at room temperature.

Before reconstituting, your medication is stable for 6 months at room temperature. After reconstituting, your medication should be stored in a standard home refirgerator at 2°C to 8°C (35°F to 46°F). Once reconstituted your medication is stable for 28 days at these temperatures. Do not freeze after reconstitution.


IGF-1 and LR3 IGF-1 are compounded adhering to the strictest standards and practices for self-administration. When patients receive their medication, they will receive a complete kit to administer the product, including easy-to-follow instructions, syringes and related supplies.

Genetics Health will soon be compounding these medications to be administered through a spring-activated mini-pen injector that delivers medication quickly and with minimal discomfort. Once available, the mini-pen will offer patients a number of advantages:

  • The spring-activated mechanism is sturdy enough to last through a year of use

  • Tiny, 6mm needles minimize discomfort and are effective and reliable in delivering medication

  • Storage, transport and disposal is simple and convenient

  • Administration can be done by anyone, including children
